Final Cheer Expenses Detailed

Shirt and Shorts
24.95
Uniform
163.40
Shoes
45.95
Poms
17.53
Camp
75.00
Party Costs
10.00
Warmups
8.00 - 47.00 (P.K.)
Total rounding down to the nearest dollar $344.00 -$383.00 (P.K.)

This is the same total from our first meeting (adding in the warm-ups) as well as what was posted on the blog.

Total we had 4 payments of $84.00 with an additional $8.00 to cover the remainder of the warm-ups. a portion of the funds for the warm-ups were generously donated and also earned at the bake sale.

Now here is where the confusion comes in. I have asked the school for a payment history statement for each and every cheerio. I have reviewed the statements and have a total for each girl.

There was a miscommunication over the summer. The school was under the impression that cheer was a grand total of $300.00 rather than $344.00.  I will be texting each cheerio and a parent today or tomorrow explaining how much was paid and their remaining balance for cheer. Please call or text me with any questions.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send me a copy of your receipt(s) when you pay your remaining balance. I really would prefer not to go through another set of statements for each girl to track it all down. Thanks a million!

Cheer Expenses Broken Down

As we near the beginning of a new school year. I would like to remind all of you about the expenses.

Shirts and shorts     24.95
Uniforms                163.4
Shoes                      45.95
Poms                      17.73
Camp                     75
party expenses       9

Total                     336.03 - 4 payments of $84.00

We did not earn quite enough at the first bake sale so we need to add in:

Warm ups               8 (Paityn 38)
New Total due by the end of this month            $344.03 so for your last payment just tack on $8.00 to cover the rest of the warm ups (Paityn $383.03 your cookie dough fundraiser easily covers this : ) way to go)

Now for the 4 girls that participated in the cookie dough fundraiser. I will see you Monday at 1:45 to give you your dough and money.

I had a few responses from the survey I sent out a month ago regarding the extras the girls want. Sherrie has willingly volunteered to help order the extra things the girls want. I want to encourage the girls to use the funds you earned this summer to pay for these things. I do not want this to become a negative situation for anyone. I hope the extra items ordered will be at a minimum and will be at amounts you are all comfortable with. Sherri was the only Mom to volunteer. Please be kind and respectful to her. It is not easy to make everyone happy. Extra shirts were the second most important thing, after the warm-ups, followed by a bag. I am happy to suggest a few companies that you can get these items for a great price. Sherrie I will contact you soon to make sure that you are still okay with this : )

Other than making suggestions I really do not want to be involved with these extra items. I hope that doesn't sound bratty. I tried this year to follow the example of the cheer coach at Mattheson. She has been doing this for years. She orders the necessities and all of the extras are earned and ordered via Moms and fundraisers. It was a trial run this year and it was a lot tougher than I expected.

Lets get ready to kick off this school year with a bang. I mentioned last week that the girl that has practiced her three dances the most and can show me how well she knows them will get a prize. Drum roll please . . . . . . . . . . . The winner will choreograph and teach a dance to the boys cheer team for spirit week. Game on ladies. I hope you have been practicing.

Cheer Extra's

Now that we are finished with fundraising I have attempted to create a spreadsheet with our projected earnings. It didnt copy pretty to the blog you will have to be creative reading it sorry:) Also,  I have created a quick survey I need you all to take. This survey will share with me your ideas on the extra funds. I know that the girls wanted additional items like bags, shirts and warm ups. Unfortunately not everyone earned to same amount of money. We range from $72.00 to $226.00. With the chosen warm ups just shy of $100.00 that leaves some girls short and others with 60-126 extra. So now we have to decide what you want to do? Please take a few minutes this week to fill out the survey below. Also, please double check my total earning to make sure that they match up with your total as well. The Donation of 33.33 is in our Cheer Account at school for each girl for warm ups as well as the 39.5 from the bake sale.

Thursday Practice

Final parade practice meet at 9:00 AM at the front of the school. Bring/wear your shoes. If you can't make it leave a comment below.

Chlo will not be able to attend

Cookie Dough Fundraiser and June Payment

Cost Sheet
Order Form please print this to begin

Alright ladies I cant wait to start our cookie dough fundraiser. If you were at the bake sale you need to earn $27.00. You will just have to sell 5 containers of dough. Paityn you will need to sell 10-11 containers of dough to earn your warmups. Anything you sell above and beyond the required amount can go to your monthly payment for cheer. Each container sold earns $6.50 - $8.00. If you look at the cost sheet attached the net column displays how much you earn for each item sold. Some are worth more than others. If you want items like matching bags and other shirts speak now or forever hold your peace. If I do not hear from you I will assume that you are not interested. And all of the extra sells will go towards your monthly bill.

I will just ballpark some figures for you.

Warm-ups you need to sell 5 containers (Paityn 10-11)

Bags I estimate they will cost $30.00 you will need to sell 5 containers

More matching shirts  $18.00 a piece you will need to sell 3 containers per shirt

If you want all of the above you will want to sell as many containers of dough as possible.

The Cookie dough sell will go for two weeks. You will want to collect the money at the time of sell. I will at the end of the two weeks collect your sale sheet and money. Two weeks after that you will be delivering your dough to your friends and family. Lets end the sale July 16th.

If you want to see pictures of the dough go http://jojosdoughs.com/

Jo would like you to sample her dough so you know how good it is. Let me know what a good day and time would be for you and your family and we can get that scheduled.

Just as a friendly reminder our second cheer payment of $84.00 is due this week. Please send me proof of payment for my records. Or else I will assume payment has not been made. If you need to make arrangements please

Summer Practice

It seems like we need to clarify a few important pieces of information.

1. If you want to schedule a practice or get together you must contact Mrs. Moore first with the date, time, location and who will be involved.

2. Once an event has been approved Mrs. Moore will place the information on the blog. If it is not on the blog it is not happening.

3. If you cannot attend the scheduled practices or events leave a comment on the blog or somehow contact Mrs. Moore.

4. No one on the cheer team, other than myself, has the authority to place a cheerleader on probation.

5. No cheerleader has the authority to exclude any other cheerleader from participating in any cheer events. We have no leadership other than Mrs. Moore. I make all cheer decisions.

6. The last event we have scheduled this summer is the 4th of July Parade. If there is anything else planned for you must check with me first. It must be on the blog.

7. Please be kind and sensitive to your teammates plans and feelings. I have been out of the loop as far as summer practice. I will rectify that asap to make sure that everyone on the team is treated with respect and understanding.

If you have questions or concerns reach out to me please.

Also I need to see your 4th term grades ASAP

Parade Information Please Read ALL Directions

Fundraiser

I have called so many locations for car washes no one is interested. So here is what I have scheduled for fundraisers.

Friday June 20th we will be hosting a bake sale at Reams from 2:00 - 7:00 if we can schedule a car wash at a different location we will scratch this fundraiser.
We will need:
everyone will need to bring baked goods
a table
signs
and chairs
an adult to be in charge and take care of the funds

Saturday June 21st we will be hosting a Hot Dog sale at Smiths ( this date is not firm yet)
Smiths will provide the hotdogs
We provide the workers
We will needs signs for advertising

I imagine that we will each need to raise 70 for warm-ups they are pretty expensive due to the artwork. I will try one or two more places to host a car wash and then I am washing my hands of it.

Parents please let me know if you can take charge of additional fundraisers so that the girls can earn their warm-ups.

Dear Parents

Dear parents and cheerios I wanted to make you aware of a few issues
1.      Our first cheer payment of $84.00 is due by the end of the week. If you need to make arrangements for a late payment please visit the front office. Remember to give me a copy of your receipt
2.      Maverik on 5600 is no longer allowed to host car washes. I am not from this area is there an equally great place that we can do this? I will try to schedule it as soon as I can.
3.      Only three families responded about their summer plans. Can I infer that the rest of you have a free summer? That would make scheduling very easy J
4.      If your girls want bags and other things we will have to do a second fundraiser to pay for them. I however, am not able to run two car washes. Please contact me if you can help.
5.      Also, one of our darling Mom’s reached out to a very generous company who donated $300.00 towards our warm-ups. I am working on acquiring an official bid for the warm-ups. As soon as the two clothing companies get back to me I will let the girls know how many tickets they will have to sell. Anything sold above that will go towards their monthly expenses.
6.      Shoes and poms have arrived. The shoes look great I just need a few more girls to come try them on. The poms were awful I shipped them back this morning. I will order the same poms we have this year in a different color.
7.      If you want to make a bow you are more than welcome to do so. I know a few moms that want to help. I will get you in contact with them.

8.      Please feel free to contact me anytime.

Family Summer Plans & Our First Car Wash

Please leave a comment below regarding your families summer plans. I will try to plan around them as much as possible! My hope for this summer is to have all our cheers mastered as well as four to five half time dances. This will allow us to focus more on stunts when school starts up again.

Ideally, practices will be held at a few cheerio's homes with a parents supervision. My returning cheerleaders will be teaching the cheers to the rest of the team and reviewing the dances learned at camp.

I will schedule our first car wash/cookie sale for June 7th. I want to have the tickets ready for the girls by Tuesday. Please let me know if this date will work for you and if you can help.

1. Soap
2. Lots of towels to wash and dry
3. Water for the girls
4. Lots of cookies
5. Hose(s)
6. Anything else I am forgetting

Payments/ Grades/ Thursday Safety Clinic

I have had a few girls ask about payments.Payments of $88.00 will be due May, June, July, and August at your convenience. Payments can be made online or at the school. Once you have made a payment please give me a copy the the receipt for proof of payment. I will keep record, as well as the school secretary. Once everything has been paid in full the uniform and other items are yours to take home. Varsity will be contacting me shortly with a uniform fitting date. Once that has taken place I will have an exact total for you. If anyone is interested in organizing a fundraiser for warm-ups lets me know. I am happy to help get the ball rolling on that.

Tomorrow the girls shirts and shorts should be arriving. We will plan on wearing our new team shirts and bows to school Thursday. When school is over change into your shorts and meet in my room at 3:00-3:10. You will also want to double check that your nails are trimmed short, your shoes are athletic, and no jewelry. Bring a snack or something to hold you over. It will be a long night.

If I have not seen your grades please come see me.

Fundraising

Here are some ideas for the fundraisers. If you have any more ideas please add them to the comments below.

1. car wash and bake sale
2. yard sale
3. coke and hotdogs at Smiths
4. ??? I forgot the other ideas sorry please remind me

Each fundraiser we will be working towards the purchase of a specific item. We will have a fundraiser for warm-ups, bags, and other matching things they may want.

Once the extra items are priced out I will set a sales goal for each girl to meet. If the girls exceed their goal the extra money can go towards the monthly charge for cheer.

We will have people that show up the day of a fundraiser, that we have not sold tickets to. Those sales will go into a general fund that will be split up evenly among the girls after the event.

If a girl does not meet the sales quota for a fundraiser they will need to come up with the additional funds to cover the item(s) they were working towards or go without. So bottom line, girls work hard to pre-sale tickets for fundraisers.

Clarification on captain

Hey girls I just wanted to quickly clarify a misunderstanding. Captains have NOT been selected. I am not sure a hierarchy amongst our team is such a good thing. We did pretty great this year without captains.

Congratulations!!!!!

I am so excited for you all. Tryouts went well. You did your best and made the team. I look forward to working with you all.

Things to remember:

Monday @ 7:00AM meet in Mrs. Moore's room for a light breakfast and a gift. Please wear a white shirt, jeans and have your hair pulled up in a ponytail.

Monday @ 6:30PM parent meeting in Mrs. Moore's room. Please attend with your parent(s). We will be signing the cheer contract and discussing important information. Please fill out a short form as soon as you can. You can find the form here.

Tuesday you will be switched into Mrs. Moore's advisory. If you are currently on Dance Co. you will be switched once your commitment is over.
